Computer-specific take-back laws: Texas (HB 2714, 2007: brands must offer free recycling to be sold in the state), Oklahoma (Computer Equipment Recovery Act 2008), Virginia (Computer Recovery and Recycling Act 2008), Maryland (state-funded drop-off sites since 2005), Missouri (RSMo 260.1050, recovery plans for computers and displays).
Full electronics programs that include computers: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, plus Washington, DC.
