IKEA recycling accepts: alkaline batteries, lithium-ion batteries, NiMH rechargeable batteries, LED light bulbs (any wattage), CFL bulbs (mercury-containing), halogen bulbs, plus IKEA furniture through the Buy Back & Resell program. Mattresses are picked up for a fee with new mattress delivery.

How the IKEA Battery and Light Bulb Recycling Process Works

  1. Bag spent batteries and bulbs (separately). 2. Drop in the marked recycling bins at any IKEA store. 3. For furniture, register the item online via IKEA Buy Back & Resell, receive a quote, deliver to store for store credit.
