Frequently asked questions
Are Amazon Renewed iPhones genuine Apple devices?
Yes. Amazon Renewed products are inspected by Amazon-qualified third parties or Apple-authorised refurbishers. They use genuine Apple parts (battery, screen, housing). Counterfeits do not qualify for the programme.
How long does a refurbished iPhone last?
Properly refurbished iPhones with replaced batteries last 3-5 years from purchase. iOS support lasts ~6 years from initial release, so a 2022 iPhone 14 should receive updates until 2028. Battery health of 95%+ at delivery is standard.
What's the Amazon Renewed Guarantee?
All Amazon Renewed products come with a 1-year Amazon Renewed guarantee, separate from the manufacturer warranty. You can return for full refund if the device doesn't function as new within 1 year.
Should I buy refurbished or trade-in?
Trade-in services pay you for an old phone. Amazon Renewed sells you a tested used phone. The two are not mutually exclusive - many buyers trade their old phone in via a recycler, then buy a refurbished model with the proceeds, saving 40-60% versus new.
