Who we are. eCycling Central is operated by Defining Style Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 10572391, registered office Unit 2a Crown Business Park, Cowm Top Road, Rochdale OL11 2PU. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration ZA711914. Defining Style Limited is the data controller for this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what your rights are under UK GDPR.
Analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate measurement (page views, sessions, approximate country) and Google AdSense to serve advertising. Advertising and non-essential analytics cookies are set only if you consent through our Google Funding Choices consent banner, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer. Google may process this data outside the UK. Our lawful basis is your consent.
Forms. We collect personal data only when you submit it. That includes the newsletter form, the contact form, the premium listing claim form, and the business IT asset disposition (ITAD) quote form. The ITAD form asks for your name, work email, telephone number, organisation, and details of the equipment you want to dispose of.
Who we share ITAD enquiries with, and why. If you submit the ITAD quote form, we pass the details you give us to our ITAD partner, a third-party IT asset disposition provider, so that they can prepare a quote and contact you directly. That is the purpose of the form and it is the only thing those details are used for. We are paid a referral fee by that provider if an enquiry proceeds to work, so we have a commercial interest in the introduction. Our lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating a referral service. If you would rather we did not pass your details on, do not use the form; email us instead and we will tell you who to approach directly.
Other recipients. We use Supabase for database hosting, Cloudflare for site delivery, and Resend for sending email. These providers process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
How long we keep it. We keep form submissions for 24 months from your last contact with us, and then delete them, unless we need to keep a record longer to meet a legal or accounting obligation. Aggregate analytics data is retained on Google's standard retention settings.
Your rights. You have the right to ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@ecyclingcentral.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
